Gardner Cole is a musician, songwriter, producer. He could play four instruments (drums, piano, guitar and bass guitar) by the age of 9 and went on to study at the world renowned Berklee College of Music in Massachusetts.
As a Producer he’s recorded over 350 songs (including 11 Billboard charting singles) for major labels such as Universal, Hollywood, Sony, CBS, A&M, MCA, Chrysalis, Virgin, Interscope, Dreamworks, Capitol, E.M.I., Warner Brothers, Polygram and Motown.
Gardner has been signed to Warner-Chappell Music since 1984 as a Writer/Publisher, and was a Recording Artist at Warner Brothers Records where he self-produced two solo albums.
He has written music for commercials for clients such as Coca Cola and Gap and music for movies like ‘Summer School’ starring Kirstie Allie and Mark Harmon. He has performed on many television programmes including the Grammy Awards, Arsenio Hall and American Bandstand.
He was the number 2 songwriter in 1988 according to Billboard magazine with SIX Billboard charting singles. He’s written songs for the likes of Cher, Michael MacDonald, Tina Turner and Madonna (worldwide no. 1 hit ‘Open Your Heart’).
He is also the president of Kaleidosphere Records.
