‘Guitars 4 Good’ is a benevolent project the strapline of which is ‘Using the power of music as a power of good.’ which I started in 2016.
The project’s aim is to raise awareness of childhood cancer, particularly neuroblastoma which is a rare but very aggressive cancer which generally affects children under the age of 6 years old. I also do personalised gifts for the children and bereaved parents (see collage below).
It is also planned to fundraise from time to time in various musical ways. For example, I have an autographed photograph of Sir Tom Jones sent by his management and a signed Stereophonics photo from their P.A., specifically to auction on behalf of Guitars 4 Good. I also have CDs from a couple of PP&P bands given to me to sell for fundraising purposes.
As at August 2019 I have designed and sent out 11 cushions.
